OUR STORY
GoodCare provides support to whole families as they navigate the changing care needs that often accompany aging. As we get older, family roles often change. Children become the caregivers of their parents and spouses now pick up new responsibilities for each other. This transition is almost always difficult for all parties. On top of the changing dynamics within your family, there is also a need to navigate the healthcare system and get all of the necessary services you need in place. None of this comes with an instruction manual. If you've been struggling with issues like these, you've come to the right place.
GoodCare was founded by Eden Goodman MSW, RSW, whose healthcare career aligned with her grandparents needing increasing levels of care. Eden helped her family manage her grandparents' changing care needs by connecting them with different services, but she noticed that no care service provided emotional, physical, and practical support to her grandparents or her family members. Her family required someone to organize the care providers, know where to find providers, and ask the right questions while also creating space for processing the changing family roles and the emotional impact of seeing her grandparents' needs change. Eden realized that what her family was going through, other families were going through as well. GoodCare was founded to fill this gap and recognize that people are more than just their illnesses.
